Billi London-Gray | Standards

The idea for this series started with exercises in painting with screen printing squeegees and printing with small objects smashed by freight trains. Pondering the flag-like imagery that resulted from pulling paint across paper, and holding these train-smashed objects in hand, led to meditations on the relationship between nationalism, commerce and the structures of wealth and poverty in the United States.
