Sister Death is a band of four women artists — Christine Adame, Holly D. Gray, Billi London-Gray, and Marcela Reyes — who wear matching jackets, write a hilarious group text, and occasionally make art together. As a feminist collective, they focus on empowering each other and the women around them through solidarity and assistance with labor, transportation, problem-solving, and encouragement in the midst of hard work or hardship. This mutual support helps them address challenging subjects in their individual practices, including human migration, cultural hegemony, personal loss, mental illness, disability, discrimination, sexism, and abuses of power.
