Full text, compiled from City of God by Aurelius Augustine (trans. Marcus Dods, 1871), reads: WE HAVE BECOME LIVING STONES IN A HOUSE BEING BUILT IN ALL THE EARTH, EVEN THE CITY OF GOD. THAT CITY IS ETERNAL. WHILST ON OUR PILGRIMAGE, WE SIGH FOR ITS BEAUTY. THERE RISES THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS TO PROTECT THE GOOD ALONE. THERE NONE ARE BORN, FOR NONE DIE. THERE NO GREAT INDUSTRY IS EXPENDED TO ENRICH THE PUBLIC TREASURY BY SUFFERING PRIVATIONS AT HOME, FOR THERE IS THE COMMON TREASURY OF THE TRUTH. THERE IS TRUE AND FULL FELICITY.
